On The Horseshoe on Monday 6th September 2010Closed when driven past September 2010.
On Crispin & Crispianus on Monday 6th September 2010Harveys Best Bitter & Hop Back Summer Lightening on pump looked like a promising start in this bohemian pub of oddities. However, my half pint was served in an unmarked high ball glass, and tasted a little sour (Harveys). Sad that the Bar Billiards table had been covered over to make space for various art promo leaflets and ubiquitous red candles. Food looked like posh pub grub with menus printed daily. Friendly punters and staff, but let down by the ale.
On Amersham Arms on Tuesday 31st August 2010Demolished by Summer 2010.
On Stroke of Luck on Friday 27th August 2010Due to be gutted by developers even though the bar area is Grade 2 listed.
On Rose & Crown on Friday 27th August 2010Recently seen closed.
On Owl & Pussycat on Monday 23rd August 2010A recent revisit revealed a reduction in range of real ales:
Crouch Vale, Brewers Gold
Sharps, Doombar
Fullers, ESB
Fullers, London Pride
However still a deservedly popular pub, with louder music than I recall. Good stuff.
Nicely placed on the opposite side of Stonebridge Park to the new Haggerstone Overground station. Popular with sport-lovers. Fullers London Pride available for the ale-drinkers, okay quality.
On Duke of Wellington on Monday 23rd August 2010Bohemian atmosphere with posh nosh & candles aplenty, but friendly and basic. Niffy gents. Fine ales from Sambrooks (Wandle) & O'Hanlon's (Stormsay).
On Duke of Wellington on Monday 23rd August 2010Popular backstreet pub with plenty of outside seating. Vey popular on a Saturday night with a good mix of friendly staff & customers. Real ale was Trumans Runner & Crouch Vale Gold, in good nick.
